Super-Mini Update
Added 2023-04-29 22:01:07 +0000 UTCThis month has turned into the opposite of what I expected. To be super frank - I work best on a routine. I can maintain a diet or exercise regimen religiously, but as soon as I break it even for a day I fall to pieces. This month my 'behind the scenes' goal was to find a bit more of a work-life balance in terms of reconnecting with some friends and family I haven't done a very good job of being in contact with, along with handling some outstanding items.
Well, I did all that. And the writing time suffered more than I expected. I'm in the clear for the next few days to pour everything into catching up as much as I can, so hopefully by the time I give the May update we'll see some more content!
Cheers,
~Break.

have you ever considered using a commitment contract app like Beeminder - it forces you to stick to your habits and if you don't it charges you!

2023-04-30 06:22:18 +0000 UTCIt can be really frustrating to know that if I take one night off from my diet, I'll eat a whole pizza in one sitting within the week. I once did 20 weeks of religious treadmill exercise one winter/spring, felt great about it and it was in my routine, then went to a cottage for one week and lost every ounce of desire to go back to it. Unfortunately, my brain is just not wired to make something like exercise or dieting a 'habit.' It takes daily work to keep myself on a roll.

2023-04-30 04:56:17 +0000 UTCSame, I also have this problem. If I have a routine, everything is good. However, if I break it once, I'm in trouble. And I don't want to be in trouble. I'm still learning how to deal with it.

2023-04-30 00:10:39 +0000 UTCShort Answer: Yes. Long Answer: Not really. I need to fix some of my daily schedule around to help facilitate my own weird-isms. Once I do that, I should be able to manage things better without sacrificing sleep or having some semblence of a social life.
