It's been established that most of the seats don't care about the New World at all, and with the ages being listed, that makes sense. Jeremiah might possibly be the only one born since 1492. I think Adama told him at one point that he had all of North America, but he hasn't spent a bunch of time trying to exercise his power. (After all, this whole series comprises less than a month at this point. He's spent far more time having sex with his sister than talking to the magical entity that could answer most of these questions.) The seats seem to respect borders though, since that's what most of chapters 19 and 20 are about. They negotiate compromises about those borders and presumably abide by them. Seats fighting would be really bad.

2023-04-29 07:27:07 +0000 UTChow do the territories work? so the world is divided into nine territories, one for each seat? and Esme has South and Central America and the Caribbean? apparently Jeremiah has North America and Greenland? how does he not know what his territory is... he should ask Adama. And what are the other territories? Do the Seats respect each other's borders or are they fighting for more territory?
