Random Not-Just-A-Poll: QT:NW Team Members
Added 2022-11-14 19:09:50 +0000 UTCHey folks! I'm currently working on the next QT:NW chapter and something has been on my mind for a bit. I don't need this info for this coming chapter, but there is a *soon* sort of thought process behind it.
Based on the in-person timeline I've worked out with CorruptingPower, Harri and Leo are both going to be getting an influx of members to their houses sooner than later, and while I have a variety of plans for different characters I think it would be cool if you folks had the chance for some input into the types of characters that might show up.
WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR
I am interested in suggestions for Jobs/Careers, personality Archetypes, ethnicities/countries of origin, or other broad characteristics that you all are interested in seeing enter the story.
I can't promise to use all of them, or how fast I use them, as I do have plenty of plots already slowly unrolling but some inspiration can never hurt!
And just for fun, the Poll questions is Who Is Quaranteam: North West's Best Girl (So Far)?

I hope Harrison passes on Kara, especially now. A foreign operative is joining his team and Kara is easily manipulated, confident to the point of foolish, and has a victimhood complex. She’s way too vulnerable. You’ll have to mirror some roles from the original but the backgrounds could be interesting. A food truck owner/operator from Portland who lost her business due to the virus for the cook, for example. I think adding celebrities to Harrison’s team would be a mistake. It doesn’t seem like he would enjoy the attention. I see him preferring women who get their hands dirty. Maybe a livestock veterinarian, a national park ranger, or even somebody with a more monotonous job who participates in tough mudder events as a hobby.

2022-12-07 07:08:35 +0000 UTCGetting protection without military you could go for like park ranger/forest service, which would mirror someone's suggestion above about outdoorsy. To throw in some things together you could do an athlete, specifically someone from the Pacific that is a surfer so you get athlete, islander, and tattoo canvas. LARPers would be a good slice as well, people that are used to out doors stuff (like Rebecca from anime con harem kind of outdoors without the social awkwardness and dual personality). For "smart" people, could have some scientists like geologists or ecologists studying the surrounding areas. Might be interesting to have the tech person be with Leo instead of Harri.

2022-11-20 15:50:16 +0000 UTCYou've hit a few of my future plans in here. 6+7 are definitely interesting and I hadn't considered a Politician at all. That's one I really need to think about. A conservationist is a neat suggestion though! My list of possible ideas grows!

Rockstar or pop star Andy has his movie stars instead of movie or TV lets go other forms of media. 2. While this mirrors they need a tech person. 3. We all know the military gals are gonna wind up with Harri and Leo 4. Personal trainer 5. Helicopter pilot probably ex mil. 6. Politician someone who might be posed for new gov of Washington eventually. 7. Someone like Steve Irwin's daughter. 8. Medical staff 9. Tattoo Artist 10. Mechanic 11. We need a finical planner someone who can take Harris new wealth and make him more money. Other suggestions The vaccine heals Vanessa and she winds up being the first of the girls pregnant.

2022-11-20 13:45:54 +0000 UTCAs someone who lived in Seattle a long time, I heartily endorse a cute full-figured Samoan or Hawaiian girl. Lots of them around. Lots seem to have a relative in the military, but that might be a Seattle-area thing, I dont think Portland has so many bases so close together. A younger girl who's maybe a 'military brat,' but not in the service herself. She's a close relative of Someone Important, but not with a career of her own. Maybe she was a college student, or a similar aged girl working a fairly 'unimportant' job (retail, call center, food service). She knows she's only got such a early spot in the system because of who she's related to. Through in her having a very different body type than the other girls, and you've got all the ingredients for a very wholesome arc about her growing into a confident adult thanks to all the support and affection she gets from the cool sexy people around her.

I really hesitated to write MasterPC: Ash (where I used the schizoaffective character I would have used in a QT story on the subject in a MasterPC story) because I was worried it would be treating it lightly, since it basically includes a magic 'fix everything' button. I wouldnt touch it if you arent confident in it. I think the macro-scale plot of QT involves such a shake up of the social order that it's interesting to pull in people who are socially treated as kind of un-persons. Imprisoned people, the mentally ill, people with serious addictions, the homeless, etc.

Noting down more than a few of these thoughts - Smoke Jumper is definitely one I wasn't expecting, but is a cool idea. Cheers!

2022-11-18 01:26:17 +0000 UTCThe plot with the Band, and Kara, is ongoing so she definitely isn't going to disappear. Where she ends up is still up in the air though. As a note, all of the professions you mentioned are definitely being kept in mind, but I am trying to distance the North West girls/harem from mirroring the core Quaranteam story. We'll probably see some interesting variations coming up. You point about some more outdoor-oriented women is noted though! Now the find the most interesting way to bring one or more of them in.

2022-11-18 01:10:59 +0000 UTCI've discussed what the Prisons are like with CorruptingPower early on as I had some ideas that may or may not fold into the story as it continues. I like the idea of seeing what's happening with Female Prisoners and am definitely putting on the Idea list. I'm not as sure that I want to tackle serious mental illness with this story, at least for the time being. I would also be more tempted to do it in a separate Quaranteam spin-off (maybe a one-off?), but it's a delicate subject matter to use as Erotica so it might very well be a non-erotic story. Definitely something I'll need to consider at length before tackling, and plan heavily for.

2022-11-18 01:04:38 +0000 UTCWhat's the point of a harem if you can't have variety? You're off to a great start. How about a Pacific islander for ethnic diversity? More common on the west coast than the rest of the USA. I was wondering if we couldn't have a Scandanavian Valkyrie or Scottish Highlander, for some size variety, but now that I've mentioned Pacific Islands, why not a Samoan plus sized model? That makes for another tattoo style, too. As for professions how about a smoke jumper, firefighter or EMT? They might get called out to the property. As a frontline medical worker, an EMT might have the right to request Harry. Personality types- How about a wild card like an eccentric genius, or a shy girl/boisterous drunk, or a woman with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder?

2022-11-17 21:36:40 +0000 UTCI would like to see Kara finally begin to come around and be more understanding after the bigger picture is explained to her and she begins to understand the real impact of the virus and the world situation. I would like to see Harri with helpful professionals; ie. Doctor, Lawyer, military or ex-military bodyguards, etc and perhaps someone or a few someones famous; ie. movie/TV star, author, top tier fashion model, etc. . As long as they are compatible with the boys and their girls the ethnicity is unimportant to me. I would like to see ladies in good enough shape physically to be able to thrive in the outdoor lifestyle Harri seems to prefer. This is an excellent addition to the Quaranteam story line and I am enjoying it very much.

2022-11-15 01:23:39 +0000 UTCOne idea I had for a qt story that I will probably never get to: one of the girls is a prisoner. The system started enrolling female inmates, offering early release. There would be the stated motive that crowded prisons are nightmarishly vulnerable in a pandemic. Left unstated is these women are seen as more 'expendable' for a potentially risky test, and that their freedom is less important so the potentially dubious aspects of the system don't matter. Especially if they've started assigning people as Staff Not Family, with the implied class lines and subordinate status. I could see a twentysomething woman, probably not convicted of anything violent. Sex work is the obvious one, drug related is another way to go just due to sheer quantity. I'd suggest something else, like she was part of one of those shoplifting rings that wind up stealing a pretty large $ value of low profile things over time. Maybe give her a painful past in the foster care system. Someone who's lifestyle and history has beaten into her the need to keep a highly guarded attitude. It makes it hard for her to connect with her assigned man and the rest of her new family. Alternately someone who was hospitalized for a serious mental health issue. They're pushing people out of facilities even if they might not be ready. Again, complicates her inegrating into the new family. But with the added angle of what does the Quaranteam serum do vis-a-vis their symptoms? Tricky as hell to do, lots of pitfalls, potentially very rewarding. I'm almost certaonly never going to write any such story, didnt have an actual plot, but characters like that would seem to fit the overall vibe of this story.
