Does a 2nd YT channel impact Patreon? No.
Added 2023-12-13 19:05:26 +0000 UTCI am sure some of you have seen me talking recently about a 2nd YouTube channel that would feature anime related content. I would imagine you might be wondering if that would impact the value of you being a Patreon member. The answer is definitely not. You will still have exclusive benefits from being a member.
Why is that?
Your value here on Patreon is of the highest importance.
The speed of Anime on the Patreon will not slow at all. If anything it will only increase.
This will be the ONLY location of non edited full episode reactions that include the entire episode and audio tracks. YouTube safe reactions are very much spliced to be YT safe and must cut out massive amounts of soundtrack to pass content ID.
The 2nd YT channel idea would contain Anime ep reactions but NOT at the same time as Patreon. Patreon members will be 4-5 months ahead of anything that went to YouTube.
🔴🔴👉MORE IMPORTANTLY not all of what I react to would make it to YouTube while 100% of what I react to WILL make it to Patreon. I am aware that some YT reactors have the same material on both YT and Patreon, but I wouldn't do that. There always needs to be more value for the Patreon member as far as quantity of content goes.
Finally, as you already know, the Patreon generally gets more song reaction and analysis uploads than the YT. I am working to lighten that load a bit but that is the current state.
Please comment and questions, concerns, or suggestions.
Thanks!

Hello Tony, so there's a way that we could recommend you complete OST from anime and you could react? You know, like an anime chapter but only the music. It could be an alternate way of enjoying fully an anime you've already watched, or one new that you could get inside of easier.

2023-12-15 17:36:27 +0000 UTCExciting times, from your discussions it seems the 2 channel model should work out better for the algorithm which should hopefully attract more viewers and thereby more patrons too. Plus it should hopefully let the main channel grow/cultivate its own audience (separate from any bleed-overs). All this to say I hope it goes well for you, you deserve the success.

2023-12-13 22:16:52 +0000 UTCSo yeah, basically for the people already here it doesnt matter. Usually I find the anime reaction on YT and then I join the Patreon so this is a first for me lol.

2023-12-13 22:01:15 +0000 UTCDefinitely Subbing to that channel! A lot of anime reaction channels are a bit chaotic for my taste, but with your anime reactions on here are much better. I like how you pause and appreciate the animation and music because it makes me feel like you are serious about the reactions. Looking forward to more reactions in the future!💜

2023-12-13 21:33:01 +0000 UTCWould it be possible to give a break down on what the music DURING the episode is supposed to do? Like “During this fight you are hearing *insert music mimicry* and this evokes THIS in the audience” Or is that more of a psychologist thing?

2023-12-13 20:08:37 +0000 UTCCompared to other channels, you absolutely kill it. Your professionalism and insight is leagues ahead of most other channels, due to small things other channels don't know to consider. The simplicity of your intros and outros, the balance of audio to reaction, the format and evolution of screen space... all that is to say its extremely refreshing being apart of your journey, and I have faith that if you split off or grow as a channel, you will still do right by all those who support you. And as an aside, I fucking live for the music composition that anime supports, so that fact you keep the audio relativily louder on the anime, compared to other people who make reactions, is like a godsend to me. Usually I have to play my own copy of an episode along with someone's reaction, just so the volume is good enough for me to be invested in the episode and reaction, but with you that isn't a problem at all. Other people might ask you to turn the volume down so that your voice sounds louder, but I think the balance is already pristine. The only downside is the compulsion to explain yourself every time you pause, and I get that, but I don't really see other channels needing to do that. I think its fairly obvious why you need to rewind, and the act of rewinding in itself doesn't really detract from the experience. I do that all the time, and I'm not reacting to it. I've seen many reactors start and stop videos before, but it's pretty common for subtitles to simply be too fast in some anime, or in some scenes. Love your work and look forward to more!

2023-12-13 19:38:03 +0000 UTCAy nice, 4-5 months ahead is the biggest gap I've heard, usually it's only a week or two. But yeah the 2nd channel will bring in a wider audience for sure so Patreon would only grow more. Looking forward to keeping up with the rest of your anime journey. You've only scratched the surface
