I remember as a kid when I first learned about music videos and how the accompanying audio is not necessarily derived from the musicians depicted playing their instrument/singing in the visuals (rather it was probably recorded in a studio environment, applied on top of the separate video recording, etc.). I just thought, "what's the point if it looks cool but they're not actually playing what I'm hearing? Isn't that kind of fraudulent?" Of course, now I don't think this way haha.
