I created SIMPLE SKETCH a while back as Blender was deprecating Freestyle and so my SmartSketch addon quit working. SIMPLE SKETCH has always been in beta, but mostly due to the fact I haven't written the documentation nor have I created a proper video.
It's a great little addon that can render (from the camera view) 2 levels of line work. You can quickly adjust the shadow and line widths as well as other features.
I recently had users let me know it wouldn't work in 4.2. So, I tried loading it (drag/drop or manual) and it always gave me an error BUT... 4.2 is supposed to load legacy addons? So, after a bit of sleuthing and some help from both Mark Kingsnorth and Anthony I got it fixed.

Here's the deal. IF YOU ARE HAVING TROUBLE LOADING LEGACY ADDONS IN 4.2 READ THIS
There's a bug (I already reported and it's been confirmed) in 4.2.0 that doesn't load legacy addons unless they have either an empty line or a commented line at the top of the script. So, if you're having trouble loading any legacy addons, just upen up the script file and add a hashtag # in the first line, save and it should work for you. Or, if you're really smart you'll wait until they fix this and the myriad of other bugs which typically come out with a dot zero release. :-)

Here's the fixed file and a short video on how to use it (older video and doesn't show all the features, but I suspect you can figure it out). Any questions, you can get support on the SIMPLE SKETCH channel on my http://cw1.me/discord
