Early thoughts on the Bambu Lab A1 Mini

If you're not into 3D printing-- then this video (and printer) might be for you :-)

Early thoughts on the Bambu Lab A1 Mini

Multiple issues really. I have cats too so if I have something inside it would have to be fully contained. The wiring in the garage is jacked up too. One socket is for the washer, the dryer socket fried and almost caused a fire. The only other available socket has 4 plugs but whomever did it left it hanging by a wire so I am sure that one is not reliable. Not to mention the paranoia of electrocution every time I plug something in or unplug it from that one. So, I would need something self-contained that doesn't contaminate the air(or has a hose releasing it outside) with an easy cleanup (no cleanup, lol). I really like the powder ones that use the laser to heat the powder into the object (Cleanup is a mess). I looked at resin printers too but there is the fume issue. My initial thoughts are the type of creation device I would like is still years away from even being made. Not that I am actually too picky when it comes to getting something for use but my circumstance certainly throws up some roadblocks.

Yeah, I currently actually have three of them. One just sits in a box as it's a replacement in case one goes down. I'm doing a lot of printing these days with them and creating all kinds of interesting things. I probably should share a video about it.

If it's an issue of space, you might want to wait until they just start shipping the A1 without the AMS. Only 300. Still, having the AMS is really nice not just for the multicolor printing part but there are so many other neat features. Like when one spool runs out another one can instantly start. The size of the A1 print area is just fine I believe. They are many things you'll be able to print on that bed size. Good luck.

That's pretty neat. I was going to get into 3D printing not that long ago but it was just a headache even figuring out what to start with. Not to mention the space needed and everything else that comes with owning 3D printers. I guess I should add that this is a bit more appealing to someone without a lot of space. Still not enough for me to buy one yet. Maybe when they advance them a bit more. Of course, the advancement I would really like is still most likely years away. Thanks for sharing this Chipp :)
