SLICE IT- free addon for mesh slicing

Talked about this one for awhile, and finally got around to creating a video for it. You guys are getting a free copy-- see below.

Talked with Jerry (of Hard Ops and Boxcutter fame) awhile back about this feature , and he agreed Blender needed such functionality and added it into Hard Ops. Since then, I've been looking to create something much simpler, and Anthony Aragues said he thought he could whip something out-- and he did. Really fast, but the testing took a bit. There's no real documentation other than this video, so let me know if you find any issues or problems.

This is a great addon for bending unusual meshes, like text or complex objects. Consider sharing anything you do with it on our just-chat channel at http://cw1.me/discord

Hi Peter, Make sure you are using the tools panel and not expecting to see a SLICE IT panel. The tools panel already existed before you installed SLICE IT. So, assuming you did all that, then you're next thing to check out would be http://cw1.me/troubleshoot And, if you're still having problems, then jump on our Discord in the SLICE IT channel after answering a few questions: Help us help you: http://cw1.me/helpushelpyou

Hello chip thank you for letting me discuss issues with slice it. I downloaded it successfully then went through the normal routines of installing it, but it doesn't come up in my side toolbar in tools like it does in your video. I uninstalled it then re-installed 1.5 version so I could do some slicing, but it still doesn't come up in the tools menu. I'm just wondering if you could point me in the right direction thank you from Peter in Australia

That makes sense. Thanks for the explanation!

We actually talked about this, and decided not to for a variety of reasons-- one of them being the fact it's only 2 button clicks more to do multiple axis, not to mention possible UX issues and the iterative nature of the tool in one axis only doubles in another axis and triples when doing things in 3 axis.

Chipp Walters

Very nice! Do you think it would be possible to enable Shift-Click on multiple axis to Slice in more than one axis at a time?
