Major update to KIT OPS FREE and PRO

Back from my trip and trying to get things ready for Black Friday. And we have some very good news to announce: There's a major update to KIT OPS FREE and PRO. You can now create INSERTS in FREE with one-click-- and you can also save materials as well. You don't have the full range of INSERT creation that you have with PRO, but there are some features that are much better than the upcoming Blender 3.0 Asset Manager, like the ability to save INSERTS with children and apply materials which are smart enough not to clog your scene with the same mats and textures over and over.
You can also now INSERT materials into selected slots. Really cool.

Yep, I agree. We can look at creating a BATCH material INSERT to for instance grab all of the materials from a scene. We also need to think about how to better organize KPACKS. Thanks for the feedback.

2021-12-02 04:59:09 +0000 UTCOK. Decided that KO could indeed be a good way to manage my large collection of procedural and PBR materials. This whole process could be facilitated greatly if I could load a bunch of materials into the material list and then hit a button in KO (or KO batch?) to create inserts and thumbnails for each material in the list. Also, I'm sure I'm not the only one whose menu of inserts and materials is getting very large. Perhaps a future version can have a way to have more than one "page" of the menu. One to use for regular inserts and one for materials. Thanks for creating the whole KO line and continuing to add new and exciting features.
