This should blow your mind

It did mine! I recently became a big fan of wParallax and their ability to create amazing interiors with only one plane. Check out this video to see what I mean: https://youtu.be/4MEV71JHjFw 

The only issue with it is it uses OSL, which Blender supports, but only with Cycles and it's quite buggy. And their product is targeted mostly at high end Maya and 3dMax users. And of course there is ZERO realtime rendering going on.

And so I put together some notes, and asked Gabe to roll me up a Blender only parallax shader that would work with both EEVEE and Cycles. And man did he deliver. And I've got an agreement with the wParallax folks to distribute their "cross-maps" with our shader in Blender Market-- which will happen soon. Right now I'm creating a set of tutorials so anyone can easily make their own 1 face virtual room interiors! Stay tuned :-) 

PS Greezybear is hard at work on some *killer* interiors for this!

Not that way, but I suspect you could add a video to the texture map and it would work, as long as the video has the correct cross-map format.

Dear Chipp, so if it was possible to update the texture(s) as a image sequence OR use a UDIM(as Blender understands it) and use a addon like "easytexutres" that sequences a projected texture from a udim "collection", we could have animated parallax planes????

Again, Captain Blender strikes:) As an architect, and 20 plus years with 3ds Max - Yes my mind was blown the first time I saw this type of shader. Thank you for bringing it into Blender. Very underused concept.
