Calculate surface intersection from 2 objects

Both Lightwave and SketchUp have for decades the ability to calculate the surface intersection of two objects without having to boolean cut, intersect, or union them. I recently was wondering why Blender did not have this feature? Turns out it is there, but you have to get at it a bit differently than with the traditional modifiers.

So *that's* what Intersect Knife does. I've been ignoring that option for years, but now I've got a use for it!
