License of content
Added 2021-10-05 18:13:12 +0000 UTCCopyright law is boring and complicated, but I'll try to keep things simple and understandable.
TLDR: You can use my content that you have access to as part of Patron benefits solely for personal, no public display, non-commercial, digital-only, non-transformative use.
I grant to the Patron (you) a limited license to access my content (any material uploaded to my Patreon creator page) corresponding to the Patron's membership tier.
The license is non-transferable, non-sublicensable and non-exclusive, and permits the Patron to access and view the relevant content on their personal devices and to download and create digital copies of the content to the extent that is required to display the content on their personal devices subject to following conditions:
- This license is personal, which means it is solely for your own personal use. Do not sell, share, rent, transfer, or publicly display any licensed content.
- Only non-commercial use is allowed, which means licensed content may not be used in any way whatsoever in which you charge money, collect fees, or receive any form of remuneration, including advertising revenue.
- Only digital use is allowed, which means the licensed content may not be used to create physical copies, such as prints.
- Only non-transformative use is allowed, which means you may not alter the licensed content in any way, such as edit, cut, resize, crop, nor include it as a part of other work.
The license expires without notice when:
- The Patron loses access to the licensed content via my Patreon creator page for whatever reason, such as expiration of membership, posts no longer being available in the following month (applies to tiers Silver and below only), or closing their Patreon account.
- The content is removed from my Patreon creator page.
- The Patron breaches the license agreement.
