地下にいるその神を世話するのは長女の役割であり、誇りであるとお母様はいつも言うが、昔から長女はその神を怖がっていた。なぜならその姿はとても神には見えない奇怪な声を発する大男だからである。
しかしこれも村のためと思い、今日も暗い地下へ向かう。地下にたどり着くと壁に面布がかかっており、それをつける長女。そう、神の世話をする際1つだけ犯してはならない禁忌行為がある。
それは、神の世話をするときは必ず模様の入った布（面布）を付けなければならない。神の前で面布をとってはならないというものである。長女は長くそれを守り続けていた。いつも通りに世話をしていたが、伸びた髪が邪魔でかき上げた際、誤って面布が取れてしまう…。暗がりの中、布をみつけ手に取るとそこには神の足が見える…

【Synopsis】

Mother always said caring for this god dwelling underground was the eldest daughter's role and her pride, but the daughter had always feared the god. For its form was that of a giant man who uttered strange, ungodly sounds.
Yet, thinking of the village's sake, she heads toward the dark underground once more today. Upon reaching the underground chamber, a face cloth hangs on the wall, which the eldest daughter puts on. Yes, there is one absolute taboo when tending to the god.
It is that when caring for the god, one must always wear a patterned cloth (the face cloth). One must never remove the face cloth in the god's presence. The eldest daughter had long upheld this rule. She tended to the deity as usual, but her long hair got in the way. When she brushed it back, the face cloth slipped off by accident... In the dim light, she found the cloth and picked it up. There, she saw the deity's feet...
