Attack on Titan – Episodes 23–25

The final stretch of Attack on Titan’s first season pulls no punches, ramping up the intensity and delivering some of the most dramatic and emotionally charged moments so far.

Still reeling from the devastation of the Female Titan’s escape, the Scouts find themselves in the middle of another horrifying attack — only this time, it’s from within the walls. As the truth begins to reveal itself, the stakes skyrocket and suspicions start to take root, not just about the Titans… but about the people trusted to fight them.

Eren is forced into another crisis of trust. With his friends and his superiors offering wildly different paths, he must decide whether to act on instinct or strategy. The weight of that decision — and the consequences it brings — makes this arc not just a test of power, but of conviction.

Meanwhile, Mikasa, Armin, and the others are pushed to their emotional and physical limits as the cost of survival grows ever steeper. Levi, as always, remains a force of nature, but even he is forced to confront the limits of his control.

This is a finale that redefines what’s at stake in this world — and sets the stage for the epic stories still to come.

I would argue AoT is even better on a 2nd watch because you get to appreciate just how good the writing is. It really is meticulous. You're never reading too deep into anything with this show lol though sometimes you're on the right track and sometimes you're not haha. Keep an eye out for post credit scenes, they're not super frequent but basically if you don't see "to be continued" there's a post credit scene

At this point in the story, we know that: 1) Some humans can transform into titans, 2) Besides Eren and the Female Titan, there are at least two more of these human titans: the Colossal and Armoured Titans. The other two must be in cahoots with the Female Titan, as deduced during the failed first mission in the forest that she must have been the one to have summoned the horde of titans after the wall breach 5 years ago. 3) The deaths of the captured titans using ODM equipment proved that these human titans are soldiers. And as there was no titan presence inside the walls before the wall breach, they must have come from someplace beyond the walls hence the reason Erwin asked that question to all in the Scouts Regiment to narrow down who to trust. 4) Why is Eren not a suspect you may ask. He has an easily verifiable childhood inside the walls with a well-known doctor as a father and many in the Garrison Regiment, such as Hannes, watched him grow up as we saw in the first few episodes. Looking forward to more of the mystery clearing up in the next episodes.
