I'm wondering if the sexism part could be born from experience. He could be too use to winning girls over this way. Adrian could be the first exception. I give him a little credit, but he's clearly not even trying to figure out Adrian. He just wants it easy with her it looks like.

I really like the shadows and background design. It really adds to the "impoverished" feel and tone of the setting. I know I've seen enough apartments that look like that.
Also, I feel bad that Adrian seems to have fallen for "that guy." Glad she's out of it, but I wonder where it will lead and affect her current feeling over clothes.
Glad we finally get to meet Ali's father, even if he isn't the most nice of people, if we learned anything from chapter 2. Thank you again!

What a sexist. Probably sees a necklace as something like a dog collar, claiming ownership of the woman. Me, I would love to have a girlfriend who did not prioritize jewelry in the face of debt.
