Running Man – Episode 9: Lotte World

The teams are split as follows:
Red Team: Kim Jong-kook, Gary, Haha, Shin Bong-sun, Lee Hong-ki
Blue Team: Yoo Jae-suk, Ji Suk-jin, Song Ji-hyo, Lee Kwang-soo, Kim Soo-ro
The episode kicks off with a karaoke challenge… on a rollercoaster. Yes, really. Members pair up to sing while enduring the twists and turns of the ride, with scores that are surprisingly competitive.
Next up is a high-stakes game of bells hide-and-seek. The Red Team hides while the Blue Team hunts, leading to some intense chases and unexpected eliminations throughout the park.
Finally, the teams face the infamous “relaxing tea” challenge, where they must consume a traditional herbal drink—made significantly less relaxing by the addition of raw egg yolks. The team that finishes their concoction the fastest earns the final Running Ball.
At the end of the day, the team with the most Running Balls is determined by a lottery draw. The winning team gets to go home, while the losers face a hilarious punishment involving face paint, headbands, and hot pants.
This episode is a perfect blend of physical comedy, clever games, and the kind of team dynamics that made Running Man a variety show legend.

It always depends on how many you want to do in total, bc RM is THE most famous korean variety show its hard to skip if you dont have a set limit. THe next episodes all have highlights that make them worth watching imo. i guess you could skip 14 , you could skip 17 and probably 20. i still think that at some point its best to not watch in order but start watching the most requested out of order, but its up to you. ENJOY RM, its a great show !

2025-05-17 17:08:15 +0000 UTCSo there are three variety shows I would say that bleed into Running Man, which (to me personally) is the perfected form of all of them. - X Factor - an older show that had a young Haha, Jongkook and Jaesuk on it - this is where they know each other well from and where Jongkook had his famous loveline moment. But it was a studio show. - Family Outing - very famous and they will reference it a lot - and the guest So Roo (darth vader music) was from it . Daesung from Bigbang was also in this and a reason bigbang got so huge. Jongkook and Jaesuk were on it. Hyori was the famous girl on it (the fiesty girl from first ep). Jihyo guested on it and impressed Jaesuk then. Family Outing took place outside in a village where they had to catch food and make fires etc etc by themselves, they always appeared without makeup etc etc - Infinite Challenge - this didnt really precede Running Man, it was before but also ran parallel to it for many years. An older cast of a lot of comedians that were considered average men who had gone through stuff but came together - this is where the more extreme challenges started to be showcased - Haha and Jaesuk were on this and RM at the same time for many years. Infinite Challenge is extremely legendary in ways hard to describe, and ran for ages. Running Man recently surpassed it in length.
