We begin a brand new reaction series for our Ult and Transcendent Biases, diving headfirst into the mysterious and emotional world of Doom at Your Service. Episode 1 wastes no time in establishing both the stakes and the tone, opening with Tak Dong-Gyung (Park Bo-Young) receiving devastating news from her doctor. Her reaction is telling—calm, deflective, and deeply in denial—treating the diagnosis like a workplace inconvenience and even pretending the whole thing was just another meeting.
Enter Seo In-Guk’s enigmatic character, known only as Doom. With an aura that’s both celestial and unsettling, he brings with him supernatural power, divine connections, and a communication style that feels as cryptic as it is intense. While we’re not yet sure what his exact role is, it’s clear he’s not of this world, and his presence immediately shifts the tone of the story.
The episode does a fantastic job of drawing us in without giving too much away. The chemistry between the leads, the subtle shifts in tone, and the slow unraveling of mystery make this an incredibly compelling start. We’re already hooked, and if the rest of the series lives up to this first episode… we’re in for a powerful ride.
