The story moves into military training, where Eren, Mikasa, Armin, and a growing group of trainees begin preparing for the battles ahead. It quickly becomes clear that the recruits fall into two distinct groups—those who have seen the Titans up close and those who haven’t. For some, survival and revenge fuel their determination. For others, the goal is much simpler: earn a top spot in the Military Police and stay safely within the interior, as far from the Titans as possible.

For Eren, training is a humbling experience, as he struggles to master Omni-Directional Mobility (ODM). His early failures are met with mockery and doubt, and his peers watch as he flounders in what should be a basic skill. But Eren’s passion and sheer force of will refuse to let him give up, and after some guidance, he discovers that his struggles were not what they seemed—leading to a completely unexpected breakthrough in his training.

With the conclusion of training, the recruits now face their first major decision—which regiment they’ll join. Eren’s choice may be obvious, but the real question is—who will stand beside him? And what happens when he faces his first real test in the field?
