The very first episode wastes no time in setting the tone—a colossal, muscle-bound monster appears, breaching a massive wall, while the terrified humans below can do nothing but scream in horror. This is our introduction to the Titans, a terrifying race of towering creatures who have pushed humanity to the brink, forcing them to retreat behind giant walls designed to keep them safe. But as we quickly learn, safety is an illusion.
We then flash back to meet Eren, a fiery young boy brimming with courage, determination, and a whole lot of youthful naivety. His dreams of fighting back against the Titans feel impossibly big, and while his heart is in the right place, he’s far from strong enough to stand on his own. Luckily, he has Mikasa by his side—his sister (or at least, she seems like his sister?). Unlike Eren, Mikasa is calm, composed, and more than capable of protecting him from his own overly idealistic instincts.
It’s not long before we catch up to the present, where the Titan attack begins in full force. As the walls fall and chaos erupts, Eren’s courage isn’t enough to protect him from devastating loss. The city is overrun, the people flee in terror, and it becomes painfully clear—humanity is completely outmatched. If they want to survive, something has to change.
With brutal action, intense emotions, and a world that feels both massive and utterly claustrophobic, these opening episodes deliver an unforgettable start to what promises to be an incredible journey!

I'm so excited for this!! A true blind reaction is so so rare so I hope you can get through this whole thing without getting spoiled cause that would be a shame

2025-03-09 03:57:30 +0000 UTCI will never skip anyone reacting to AoT. It goes 0 to 100 in the 1st episode and stays there. Full throttle the whole time. Its such a thrill. Also watching with you will be my like 6th rewatch and honestly you pick up more and more each watch through. I'm still noticing things, the writing really is flawless. It's a masterpiece. It also has some of my favourite opening songs of all time, though I would be careful in future seasons, you might not want to watch certain openings until the last episode of the season since they contain spoilers.
