SM holds open auditions every Saturday. That gets the most people every time, and the casting people there are quick to fail anyone because there are many people to see. To get in through that was a testament that someone already had some talent that SM wanted. Other SM idols who got in through the Saturday auditions are SNSD's Yoona, SHINee's Taemin, NCT's Haechan and Jungwoo.

I love how SM could maintain the longevity (most) of their artists. This is such a blast for pink blood 🩷 and as usual I love your reactions. Suho is our awkward leader 🤣🤣
