Going Seventeen - Wonwoo's Diary Part 2

In Wonwoo's Diary Part 2, the quirky adventures of Pi Cheolin and the colourful characters of this small Korean village continue. With the highly anticipated National Singing Contest just around the corner, new and even more eccentric residents join the already bizarre lineup of village personalities.

New Characters in the Village

We’re introduced to the newest arrival, Mar Tian, an alien hunter played by Jun, who is on a secret mission to track down extraterrestrial life hiding in the village. Jun’s over-the-top seriousness as he hunts for clues adds even more comedic layers to the already chaotic mix.

Then we meet Belt Holder, a centenarian martial artist played by The 8, whose mysterious and stoic demeanour contrasts with his hilarious interactions with the other villagers. Despite being well over 100 years old, his character is full of strength and martial arts wisdom—or at least, that’s what he claims!

Lastly, we have the trio of aliens trying (and failing) to blend into the village, played by DK, Woozi, and Vernon. Their attempts to hide in plain sight while acting suspiciously lead to some of the most laugh-out-loud moments of the episode.

The Return of Familiar Faces

Of course, all the previous characters from the first episode return. Dino’s Fe Turin and Seungkwan’s Fe Dback continue to bring their larger-than-life personalities, popping up everywhere in the village. Hoshi’s Jo Eulho is still determined to win the National Singing Contest with the help of his mischievous manager, Cel Brity (played by Mingyu). Meanwhile, Jo Giyeok (Joshua) and Yoon Nieum (Jeonghan), the hilariously lazy brothers, barely muster the energy to react to all the chaos around them, keeping their one-liner interactions brief but funny.

Wonwoo's Observations

Throughout the episode, Wonwoo continues to document all of this madness for his diary-turned-documentary project, interviewing each of the new arrivals to better understand their purpose in the village. His deadpan delivery and attempts to keep a straight face while interacting with these absurd characters add a unique, dry humour to the overall episode.

This second part of Wonwoo’s Diary builds on the mockumentary’s charm, with each new character introduction and their interactions adding layers of humour and personality. It’s another perfect blend of Seventeen’s unique comedic style, making this episode a must-watch.
