Also, AKMU hosted the previous season of this show which is where Kyungsoo's duet with Suhyun comes from.

If you check clips of their video calls with international fans, it seems Sehun, Chen, Kyungsoo and Suho actually communicate in English quite comfortably. But obviously D.O. has that natural ear for accents/languages/pronunciation, because even for Korean language the members acknowledge that D.O. has good pronunciation. It’s probably also because D.O. listens to a lot of Western music and watches a lot of english language animation. But in terms in terms of grammar and vocabulary it’s Suho that has the most advanced skill. But all members seem to have good listening/comprehension of english - because in fanmeets/concerts they already start responding/nodding when the MC is speaking in english, even before the translator says anything. They might just be self conscious and dont want to make mistakes in front of large crowds, but they speak English very well in one on one settings.

Nothing about D.O. would convince me he’s an extrovert, but look at all his variety shows and performances outside the group. He’s practically a wild child! 😁

2024-06-09 04:36:49 +0000 UTCThats true at that time we didn’t notice how tired and kinda done they were. Sehun also said in a i live alone episode that they rarely get time of like very rarely. I love seeing them going back to their rookie era in the last year and now plus they all look happier.

I think it’s sometimes harder to see how overworked they were in hindsight bc you’re kinda just getting the highlights but yeah, those early days were rough for them, it’s nice to see them take things at their own pace now. and kyungsoo in particular was running himself ragged between all his acting schedules and exo schedules, there’s actually a military anecdote from one of the soldiers who was in his unit who asked him why he enlisted early and ksoo told him he just needed a break (not that the military is a break but it’s definitely a break from fame and the insane idol lifestyle y’know)

2024-06-09 02:32:13 +0000 UTCTo add to this at some point many Exo members because of stalker fans and the stuff they went through with SM and being overworked they started to not enjoy being famous or were scared a lot like you could see the changes from rookie era to pandemic specially some members. Their passion kinda diminished specifically ksoos but that changed after military and maybe the pandemic itself helped when they could just rest up.

2024-06-09 00:44:53 +0000 UTCI think he was so obviously burnt out pre military (actually just before his surprise enlistment announcement he made the news for finally having a SIX day vacation after 7 years of debut) and post military he seemed like his love of his job was reinvigorated and his work life balance has gotten better which leads to what you guys were talking about here! as a long time fan this has always been his personality and the exos too used to say we don’t even know how silly he is so it’s nice to see that he’s gotten comfortable enough to let it shine

2024-06-08 20:11:39 +0000 UTCkyungsoo has changed a lot over the years. he was always misunderstood as a rookie idol, because he glares (poor eye sight) but he was always cute and goofy, but then he got more serious publicly over the years. I think it was group "scandals" and stalkers. I mean the group was nearly kidnapped, stalkers broke into their dorms and stole a lot of private possessions (particularly from ksoo) and I think he grew weary of it. not to mention whatever happens in SM. so he grew quieter and quieter over the years but I'm glad he's being cute and goofy again after the army. it's been so great to see him blossom.

I swear he’s been glowing ever since he turned 30. 😆 In every group-related content and solo promotions since 2023 he is such in good spirits (not that he wasn’t before, but you get what I mean). I hope this means you will react to D.O. on The Seasons with AKMU in the near future. 😉 Believe me, it is just as enjoyable, if not even more! If you think D.O. and IU performing ‘Love Wins All’ was a masterful duet (which definitely was), just wait till you watch D.O. and Suhyun cover ‘Rewrite the Stars’ 😉 One of the most iconic moments in K-Pop Suho made an appearance on The Seasons this past Friday too if you were interested!

We all know he can't really speak English, but when he sings in English, we'd better believe this man is an English speaker. When he sings Ed Sheeran's songs, suddenly he's and Englishman. When he sings in Spanish, he becomes a Spanish. When he sings Jennie's part in his duet with Zico, his voice is.. how do I put it...if you listen to Jennie's voice in that song, and then listen to D.O sings it, you will see the "similarity".

They were on a K Variety show with Crush, Choi Junghoon, and two other variety stars called No Math School Trip. It was on Kocowa and was pretty entertaining. I think Suho may also be on The Seasons.
