Homemade Hauler 2 - Overhauled!

When breasts begin to get a 'little excessive', as Aubrey so delicately puts it, solutions for support can often be quite limited, or even none-existant. Over the years I have seen many ingenious solutions to coping with larger breasts, and I admire those that have the determination and inventiveness to accept their situation and help themselves.

As we saw in Homemade Hauler, a basic 'bra', in theory, isn't too complex to construct if the need arises - especially if the wearer is resourceful enough to re-use elements, such as straps or fasteners, from existing garments. Things like bra straps are surprisingly robust, and it is more the anchoring point that needs reinforcement for heavier loads. The results of a hastily crafted bra may not be the prettiest, but in my humble opinion, it has an eccentric charm.

What happens if the need for larger and larger bras continues though? This is BrasByDesign, after all! I thought it would be interesting to view this bra from the back, just to show the repurposing of multiple sets of hook-and-eye fasteners from, one assumes, now very inadequate bras. There's also an adjustable adjustable fastener, just to help keep tension and relieve some of the enormous strain on those hooks!

There are also no fancy shackles, eyelets or adjusters for the straps - everything is cut to length and sewn directly together - both avoiding complexity and saving time. It may not be ideal, but it will do.

I was also trying to think of an alternative for the workshop hoist, as used in Move-A-Bust or Gantry Girl (to name just a couple), and then I realised that one possible solution was pretty much hanging around in the corner of the dressing room. As almost any girl will tell you, there is never enough built in wardrobe space! So, whilst it may not be the most sturdy of things, a freestanding clothes rail may just be able to keep Aubrey moving, at least for now!

Other additions, such as the 'parade straps' (as seen and explained in Lori Needs a Lift) added to the side of the cups imply that Aubrey is potentially aware that there are alternative solutions out there for her, but for one reason or another, she chooses to try and do it her own way - and there's nothing wrong with that.

How much will be too much? Well, that's a tale for another day...
