I think it's worth it starting from 2019 episode 1 (or at least ep.3) so you get a bit of the behind the scenes seventeen, there are fan-subbed videos available. I've seen your Exo behind the scenes content reactions and I know you'll enjoy seeing Seventeen's too. And some of the going seventeen content ideas comes from them just goofing off behind the scenes. For example, in gose 2019 ep 2 there's a behind the scenes video of them in a backstage waiting room where jeonghan tells embarassing stories beside his sleeping members waiting to see if the member wakes up or reacts - Then in 2020 it became the concept of insomnia zero, where members tell stories to get a "sleeping" member's heart rate up.

2024-04-13 15:15:52 +0000 UTCAs most people are saying, the Variety Show "Going Seventeen" only starts at *Going Seventeen 2019 ep.14*. And everything has english subtitles from that point onwards. Before that, it's mostly behind-the-scenes content and the planning for the switch up into a variety show. You can react to ep.6&7 if you want, since it's the planning and execution of the intro and outro of GoSe. But other than that, the rest is not really the variety show "Going Seventeen" that you know. Up to you what you wanna watch, we'll be here anyways :p Oh, and double-barreling seems great! Really speeds up the process of catching up, but that obviously depends on your schedule and stuff.

2024-04-13 11:25:07 +0000 UTCSo when people say go back to the begining of 2019 before english sutitles, I imagine they're saying watch the episodes on a different youtube channel where a carat has subtitled them and then go onto the official 17 channel once they've started subtitleing again. I know for example blue fever has a load of old 17 videos with subs. The thing with those however is you have to search for the videos with english subs and so you don't necesarrily get the going seventeen staff edits which are also great fun. When I was going through them myself I had the playlist and then went thorugh the playlist for which were subbed with english and than searched for the tiltle and than english subs. It's probably part of the reason some people are like don't worry about it cause it's a lot of work for videos that you're not sure you'll enjoy. Also the newest season hasn't quite started they've had several short episodes released as like teasers for the new season but they're now during the break before it actually starts. Also as far as you'll need to catch up, the only ones I can see it being an issue with are the ones that are seires so don't lie, the debate series, TTT, and insomina night as they reference past occasions in those eps, however 17 tend to, during the closing song, show clips of the next episode which will be obvious to carats if they're part of a series. This means you'll get a weeks notice and so can catch up on series or for expample be like S6E1,2,3,4. 5 & 6 are part of a series so catch up on series and if it takes too long to catch up, go to 7&8 in the meantime and go back to 4 & 5 once caught up with that series.

My recommendation (for 2019, if you would like to start here): 2019 ep.3&4 - the beginning of Going Company (the concept you saw in season five ep.1) 2019 ep.6&7 - the making of Going Seventeen opening and ending songs & videos. And then you could go from 2019 ep.14 the MBTI of SVT. Quite a few clips you saw in the Superlong Guide came from that theme. It's also the official beginning of the actual variety show we know now. (And from here we have full Eng subtitle in their official channel) And yes, I think double barrel would be a good idea. But whatever is best for you it'll be fine. I think it's important to choose the way you can enjoy the show best. I enjoy every content you post about Seventeen.

Starting at a later ep will just be the same experience with going back and forth again)... The eps in SVT youtube channel may not have complete english subs BUT there are available subbed videos translated by Carats. Someone provided the archive site - SVTFLIX, that's a great one to reference from.

2024-04-13 01:02:18 +0000 UTCI just want to say I'm 99.999% sure anyone telling you to go back to the "beginning" of Going Seventeen is actually referring to 2019 (episode 14 onwards) which does indeed have subtitles so you don't need to worry. Pledis consistently provided subtitles since they decided to make it into an actual show. I know it's confusing because they kept the name but prior to that Going Seventeen was just Seventeen's Behind the Scenes vlogs which, while interesting enough, isn't really the famous Going Seventeen variety show as we know it as now and it's not crucial reaction material? The fans who want to you to watch everything in order so you can follow the special series' and inside jokes are *almost certainly* only talking about the beginning of the actual variety show "Going Seventeen" (Again, 2019, ep 14 onwards). Double barelling is a great plan, if you're happy to fit an hour long reaction into your schedule.

2024-04-12 23:43:48 +0000 UTCWhen Kerry said “because it’s Jeonghan” I said it at the exact same time it was scary 😂 Seventeen for 2024 hasn’t started back they done a special over 2 weeks but we still waiting I would defo double barrel I think is the best option If to start back I recommend starting from ep 6 and 7 it is the creation of the intro and outro for going seventeen. If you want from variety to show go to ep 14 and onwards. But I would also continue with season 5 otherwise will not be able to catch up. But if it’s too much and hard on time going back is the better option and watching in order.
