Someone mentioned Amazing Saturday but there is also Idol Dictation season one (spin off of amazing Saturday) that has Seungkwan in a main role. It’s so good. Also Unexpected Q:gold mine of Seungkwan in variety and it is the the reason he got the nickname boobox. He is an ace and I was hella disappointed when it ended. I became a fan of SVT because of Seungkwan in variety (in the beginning). I am a huge ARMY and in 2016 when SVT were rookies, Seungkwan worked really hard to promote his group. He was on a variety show that had RM and he did a Psy impression. Had me laughing so hard I looked him up and the rest is history. The members really acknowledge his variety/promotion and always say how proud they are to have Seungkwan as part of their team. When they did Hybe*game caterers, there is a clip of his team talking behind his back their praises and admiration. Literally so cute.

That is where they introduce Aju Nice as their slogan song (literally on every episode-that’s a lot of promotion for SVT). Honestly this would be cool: I know of NO reactor that has ever done Amazing Saturday - even just a few episodes.

He promoted seventeen while going on a lot of shows solo or in groups with his members, but until about 2 years ago when new info came out about seventeen members on a show, he was going to be in that lineup! He‘s the guy with the connections and he has a so called golden phone! Which means that he has a lot of famous people in his contacts. He also has many producers in his phone that reach out to him! Some time ago Pledis announced that after an interview he was receiving a lot of Love Calls from brands that want him to promote a product because the product he mentioned sold out soon after! He also showed off how many connections he has by casualy calling the most famous TV Chef on a show they were filming so that he could tell them a good recipe. Like insead of googling it like normal people do haha. So yeah golden phone (fyi if you google golden phone there is also a dark meaning related to the Burning Sun Scandal, but that‘s not what is meant here) But if you want to get into Boo’s Variety I would definetly start with Amazing Saturday (Edit: You can throw in the Neflix interview with Boo, Vernon and Mingyu in front if you want). Boo is almost in every episode and he is hilarious!!! You can start with the first but if I had to recommend one, bevause you are not sure what the show is and if you can even watch all of it/if it’s the kind of entertainment you want to watch than watch Ep. 165 with Boo, Coups and Hosh! 2024-03-17 21:34:04 +0000 UTCI've seen MOST of Seungkwan's variety appearances, I'm sure there are probably some I'm still missing, but he is... INCREDIBLE. Please let me know if you want Seungkwan variety recommendations. I'm not sure if you've ever seen Amazing Saturday, the show he mentions, but I personally LOVE it so much generally, and many kpop idols appear on the show. They even did a special episode with Seventeen recently because usually only 2 or mayyybe 3 members of a group can guest at once, this time I think they did 6 members of Seventeen and set up the stage totally differently as well, just to welcome more of Seventeen onto their program. It was really neat. He also was recently on a completely non kpop related program that is on Netflix called The Devil's Plan - this is a brain survival game show and he is sooooo charming everyone loved him so much on this show.

2024-03-17 17:31:09 +0000 UTCIf you want to see Seungkwan in a more traditional variety setting I would maybe recommend the first season of Idol Dictation Contest, its a spin off of an show called amazing Saturday were you have to guess the lyrics to a song as a team and win food. It sounds maybe a bit weird but its really funny. In Idol Dictation Contest they had mostly Idols as the Panel, Seungkwan, Kai from Exo, Eunhyuk from Super Junior, Jangjun from Golden Child and more

It's a great way to get to know them. 3 members of Monsta X have been on: Hyungwon, IM and Joohoney. As well as Key from SHINee and Soobin from TXT. Also Nayeon and Chaeyoung from Twice. I'd enjoy any of them honestly, Youngji is a complete entertainment package on her own haha Also for variety shows, Seventeen are amazing on Knowing Bros, I'd watch any group on Knowing Bros (It's produced by SM). A couple of the cast are members of Super Junior so it could be a nice soft intro to them lol

They also filmed some behind the scenes on youngji's youtube channel as well. If you want more youngji I recommend Earth's Arcade which is a variety show produced by Na PD ( the guy from game caterers) with 3 other girls as the main cast and it's hilarious.
