There's couple color thumbnails on this sketch page: "Liminal Spaces" (FA | e621) and "Endless Summer" (FA | e621). I seriously can't recommend these little color studies enough. I used to plunge into coloring and expected I'd sort of figure it out along the way. But some planning can really elevate a color scheme and give the finished picture some beautiful cohesion. Traditional or digital media -- doesn't matter.
Fuck, I never draw hoofers but udders are so fun...
At the very bottom I was imagining a scene where Juno and a seal friend go shopping in the clothing-optional part of town. Size difference between species is a HUGE love of mine, and I suppose I'm working on kind of a (inverse?) log-scale where small differences in the actual species get amplified in anthro form, with larger differences growing progressively subtler. These are not Zootopia rules, and ultimately it's just vibes-based.
There's a few sketches of a porcupine girl (Brandy) just to figure her out a little better. And while the drawing of the kneeling porcupine is Brandy as well -- looking like she's about to gently offer to share a smoke with her -- I had someone else in mind. Someone who, at the time, I hadn't spoken with in years but have since reconnected. And I think there's a good chance that person will see it now and understand the spirit in which I offer that background. Thanks for being there when I needed it ^^ Oh yeah, and the belly nipples are showing if you look hard enough.
