LOVED IT!! This is a very deep philosophical story of how the little things in life can be so very consequential. We take these moments and actions for granted but they can change the course of our lives and cost us the things we hold most dear in our lives. David Aames is one such person. Born with wealth, good looks and endless opportunities, he carelessly brings misery and desperation to a friend/lover who is driven to suicide. And when she attempts to take his life in the process, he is disfigured and unable to love himself or allow others to see him as worthy of love. He thus squanders a chance for true love and happiness with a girl of his dreams. All the money and fame cannot fill his void and he too decides to end his life. Great movie, too bad the reaction was a buzz kill lol Clearly not for everyone.

2025-04-30 23:49:55 +0000 UTCI remember watching this at the movies on a date. I was 19 at the time, when the movie ended we both looked at each other like wtf lol. I appreciate the concept and story more on second and third viewings when I got older.
