This scene was probably my favorite to write for the entirety of Chapter 3, ESPECIALLY pages 301 and 302. I finally got to write someone who was an intellectual match for Leon, and seeing him sweat about it was such a treat.
In hindsight, I kind of feel like I could have probably cut down the page count, just for this chapter in general. Does it all add to the tension, or make it a bit repetitive? I'll have to let the audience decide.
By page 303, it was becoming clear that not settling on exactly how the hallways are structured in this place was biting me in the butt. It's ultimately not /actually/ important, but for me as an artist, it was becoming tricky to keep track of (roughly) where everyone is in relation to each other. The setup on the 303 thumbnail is more or less probably accurate, though I'm sure it also doesn't fully make sense, so shrug
We ALSO get another mention of this mysterious "Mabel" person on 304. Obviously we don't have the dialogue on these, but he mentions that Mabel is apparently someone who enjoys a bit of trickery. Interesting...
