I think a lot of people that like Guardians 2 the least need to rewatch it. The Ego plot line isn't as bad while you watch it as it seems when you think back on it. Everything else about the movie is infinitely better than 1 and 3. After watching all of them several times I have come to the conclusion that Guardians 2 is head and shoulders above 1 and 3. Also hot take, Baby Groot is the most entertaining of all of the Groots.
