I like this version of Halloween A realistic depiction of what environment would create a person like Michael and what it would be like if that person went on a killing spree. The deaths are brutal, sad, sickening. It’s a horror movie that tries purposefully to be not fun. Not some stylish version where murders are sanitized and unrealistic to make them fun for the audience. And I accept the criticism that Michael is better with no motive. In carpenter he’s evil by nature, in zombie he’s evil by nurture. But after 10 Movies of nature it’s nice to explore nurture.

2023-10-23 18:49:16 +0000 UTCFun fact the fight between joe grissly and Michael where they destroyed the stall wasn’t scripted, just they would fight over the knife. They destroyed the very real steel stall purely in the heat of the moment and because of their combined strength.
