I worked for a small arts program for a few years, and in 2016 we had Julian Sands in to perform his one-man show of Harold Pinter's poetry. I only saw him as an audience member, but he seemed very gracious and funny and humble and complimentary of everyone from the program staff to the cab that picked him up at the airport. The next day, the director told me he was probably "the best" artist she'd ever had there, as in both personally nice and very easy to work with---he even helped clean up and did his own dishes in the green room. He also workshopped monologs with a group of theatre students before his show and their professor reported he was super nice with them as well. He definitely left town with a few new fans.
