I'm not sure why you guys think they'll be able to use the videos to catch him. They already explained that he's likely using social media to choose his victims, and all the footage they've shown him watching was what he filmed himself. And what Will was watching was digital, therefore there's no connection to be made to where he works like there was in the book. Also, they've made as much progress in the investigation as they had in the book up to this point. In fact, the connection Will makes regarding the videos at the end was the one and only time they actually made any real progress in the book. But in the show there's nothing there for them to connect.
2023-07-01 17:54:54 +0000 UTCIn case no one else mentioned it yet, there's a short post-credit scene in the finale. And yeah I think the show was cancelled abruptly or found out mid-season it wouldn't be renewed for another, if I remember correctly.
