Gantz (2010) | Movie Reaction | First Time Watching

Thanks for giving this movie a chance, I greatly appreciate it. So yeah the drawback of having you guys do gantz:o first is that it was towards the end of the source material so the action and scale of the missions were really ramping up at that point. So these first few missions feel much smaller scale as a result. You were also spot on about the public not knowing what's happening because at this point the aliens and the gantz players are being cloaked automatically so even if somebody happened to pass by, they wouldn't be able to see them. The very start of Gantz:o that was at Shibuya was the first time the aliens and gantz players became visible to the public which was why people were talking about it when they were going into the Osaka mission. Feel free to watch the sequel on your own if you want. Its not bad, it has lots of action and drama. I just don't personally prefer it because they greatly deviate from the source material. Also the thousand armed buddha that was so powerful in the movie? Well that boss was nerfed, try to imagine that haha. The statue did have tons of swords, but it also had a kind of pendant that allowed it to rapidly regenerate, it had laser attacks, and it even had a chalice that was full of acid. In fact the way Kishimoto died wasn't from being stabbed by lots of swords, she jumped in front of Kato when the statue attempted to throw the acid at him, so she had a big hole melted at the base of her back...brutal!
