Not really, since Omar has been and was always called OMAR and nothing else. You know how many people in the hood have scars? Lol. And just because you have a scar don't mean that's your nickname. I mean fat people are called Tiny often. I kind of got the assumption but not really because they always called Omar omar.

2023-03-22 23:21:26 +0000 UTCYou picked up the mirror of Herc and Carver doing their test and Stringer studying. There are so many scenes of the criminal and the police which mirror each other and once you notice it just adds another layer to the quality of the writing...

Sometimes you just die. Doesn't matter how healthy you are. Doesn't matter if you were happy and laughing the day before. Sad as hell.

2023-03-22 19:36:37 +0000 UTCSubtitles may not help with terminology but it helps with names and it makes it a bit easier to parse out some of the political connections. Since this show has one of the largest casts especially as the seasons go on there’s only going to be more plots and characters. But i understand not wanting to use subtitles if you really don’t feel the need to. One of the great things about this show is, outside of a few instances they won’t always contextualize the conversations because in real life that doesn’t happen. So it’s fine and pretty naturally to be a bit lost on a first watch if you’re not used to the vernacular.
