The Creed films are perfect extensions to the Rocky franchise. Adds to the mythos & opens up that world while upholding the charm & emotion of the original series. Btw, all the boxers in the Creed movies are real life boxers, an awesome cinematic choice which is why the boxing actually looks authentic as compared to the Rocky films. Danny "Stuntman" Wheeler who KO'd Donny in the beginning is the recently retired undefeated boxing superstar Andre Ward (he color commentates for ESPN boxing nowadays). Leo Sporino (Rocky's friend's son) is perennial middleweight contender Gabriel Rosado (still active). Ricky Conlan is also recently retired LHW champion Tony Bellew.

2023-02-10 23:33:21 +0000 UTCI think Creed is pretty decent. I like the way they bring more boxing legitimacy, there's a lot of serious boxing players in this one. Stitch is back but actually playing himself in this one, which is cool. There's a few decent jokes but yeah it plays more on the emotional weight - and it definitely follows the Rocky framework. Fun fact about Creed III you're probably not aware of, MBJ is actually directing it which is pretty cool, be interesting to see how he does. Micheal B Jordan had a pretty good story about this movie that he was talking about on a talk show here that you've probably not seen - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qq2GdZ-GuEI - still think you guys should check out Southpaw after Creed II if you've not seen it..
