In the video game you can pick up notes and tape recorders, medical files, etc. In the show you don't have that so you have to find some way to explain the fungal infection and how it works. I think they were really smart about how they went about it.

I think because of the limited “play time” of the game vs the show, it’s more important to show the tragedy of the infected over making FEDRA a real threat. I think the show is going to continue with these cold opens which all reinforce just how significant Ellie is, and in turn, make the ending that much more devastating.

2023-01-25 04:47:11 +0000 UTCI am really enjoying the way they are telling this story as a show! The slight changes are well-thought out and keep those of us who play the game on our toes a bit. The cold opens have been eerie and a great expansion to an already amazing story. Also, can I take off my dunce cap now? I'm caught up on the full Wild Things video! :)
