I’m baffled that you didn’t like this film, one of my favorite Christmas films along with Silent Night Deadly Night, Black Christmas (74), etc.

2022-12-09 23:00:08 +0000 UTCToo bad the Mrs. didn't like it. It's one of my favourite scary movies. It's a great representation of Krampus, and I really like how it collides with the stereotypical consumer driven concept of Christmas/Santa. I was also a fan of the creature designs, although the gingerbread-man were a bit much. Regarding the end, there's some debate if they are actually in hell/captured or if the snowglobe is just how Krampus observes them, to check if they keep the Christmas spirit up. The same way Santa knows if you were naughty or not. If anyone is looking for other scary, non-horror movies, I recommend the Finnish movie: "Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale" (2010)
