Dennis Haysbert has a lot of screen presence, it was actually a smart casting choice because something about him screams "presidential" - not every actor can pull that off. Straight after 24 he starred in another tv show I like called The Unit, where he plays a soldier and more of that, entirely plausible despite his age - which has a link because Max Martini also starred in it and he was just cast in the next season of Bosch: Legacy, and Mrs Movies mentioned she was into Bosch.
