Great movie! May land with Aliens, Empire, T2: Judgement Day and Godfather II in the “sequels.that exceeded their predecessors” category. You were asking about Air Force movies and there are only two I’m aware of Air Force One (not what you’re looking for but good) and… Iron Eagle (1986) It’s no Top Gun but it has F-16s. This is the first time I've watched a Video Early Access...and I'll tell you why. For some reason, I can only watch these on my phone (for which I need glasses 🤷🏻‍♂️) I have a Vimeo account I can watch on my TV through Roku, but for some reason I can't access you're videos through my account. I couldn't wait to see the YouTube upload, though. Honestly, I can still remember the words to every "bar song" I was ever involved with. Lol Doesn't matter the time period...only that you knew one awesome drunk MF'r who made the whole room sing along EVERY time. To answer your early question, the angled deck is where the returning jets touch down. It allows them to land without striking or interfering with jets taking off along the straight deck on the catapults. .

That P-51 Mustang Tom was working on is his plane in real life. There were no models used in the movie. Those were actual F-18. The close-up pilot shots were the actor in the back seat. I can't remember if you already watched Firefox or not.
