Even if one group had settled on New Caprica and the other group had continued looking for Earth, the nuke had been set off and the Cylons were on the way. Not sure the result would have been any better in that case.

As i commented on Youtube when you watched the Miniseries, Balthar is my favorite character in the show because he drives the main story so much and has such an important role in the series. And i think the actor is absolutely killing it, a very nice and talented guy James Callis. I was happy to see that you pointed out that Gaius is a really tragic figure and didnt want any of this but was put in a lot of very bad situations and admittedly made a lot of mistakes because of his arrogance that now eat him up. Cant wait to see your reaction to the trial. My favorite actor from Supernatural is in the next episodes as lawyer, Mark Sheppard aka Crowley.

Really? I think the last two episodes of this season are in my favorites. Very strong performance from Apollo.. you know what i mean.

Seasoned battlestar fan - yeah these next few are the lows but it only gets better from here ;)

What did I spoil? Laura said they're giving him his trial at the end of the episode, so I didn't spoil that. Did I say what the monologue said? Didn't spoil that either - all I said it exists (not a spoiler) and it's beautiful (not a spoiler).

Can't really comment about Gaius as I've seen the entire series (a couple of times), so that knowledge will inform what I feel about him. But to be honest, these few episodes seem to me to be just wandering all over the place. But what really stands out for me is the bar that's been set up in the hangar bays. I mean, with space on the Battlestar at a premium (bringing in refugees, etc.), they are going to set aside a good-sized space for a bar? With tables scattered about the floor space? With a games area set up (a variation of Pyramid, I guess)? Cue: record needle scratching across the vinyl grooves. Huh? And where are they getting all this booze from? Galen's still can't possibly be able to make that much booze. Especially the amount military personnel can drink (I've been in the military, so I know how much they can pound down). I just...can't see it, at least to the extent they've shown.
