Not gonna lie, I was pretty pleased they had Michael Peña playing a Mexican in this, you don't see us often in the movies. I'm actually named after my dad's uncle Jose (but everyone called him Joe, just like me), he was a tanker in World War 2, 2nd Armored Division. I could name the other members of my family who served but it's a pretty long list, I'm a vet too but I was a POG and never served in combat, so I don't, generally, make a big deal about it lol

2022-11-05 07:00:39 +0000 UTCAs an home theater/cinema enthusiast this movie surprised the HELL out of me! The sound design in this film is off the chain! Not since Master and Commander have I felt like I was part of the crew. This time we trade rigging and grog for Tank Rounds, and whisky! The score is unique, but is more modern that what I thought we would get but it does add a tension to the film. Weather its rounds zipping from one side of the room/sound field to to the other, the unique sound of a tank round pulling a Sleepy Hollow(man imagine the sound engineer when he saw that clip for the first time?!). The tank itself is almost a character. Go back and watch the tiger battle on your HT system I know Mr Movies has a few doors down and crank up the volume! Great reaction as always and I am very glad you both picked up on the character ticks for the guys / deeper meaning and so on. btw this is the dragon zord dude from twitter lol This movie is easily cemented in WWII film must watch, and one of the best made imo.
