100% The only time I hated Tony...well, not hated, but sort of disliked Tony, was during this season 6b. Because Tony is PURE EVIL in it and killing Chris, I HATE THAT because Chris was doing so well. But what can you do.

His fuck up's are no longer just his problem - also Chrissy did say "he would never pass a test" basically loosing his drivers license anyway and becoming useless to the family.

He would have survived, the whole point was Tony didn't "mercy kill" him but rather straight up murdered him because he was using again and because he thinks Chris would have killed his own child if she were in the car. The ambulance arrived within minutes and they would have been able to stabilize him with his still useful lung and put him in the ICU. *Correction* towards the end you started to understand it but still thought mercy kill. Unfortunately, Tony just was tired of him and killed him.
