Man they dont make horror movies like this anymore. Acting is so much better, the practical effects are amazing. Has a sense of psychological horror mixed in.

It is a direct sequel to the original 1992 "Candyman" you just watched, ignoring "Candyman 2" and "Candyman 3". Depending on your definition, you might call it a requel. Not all definitions of that term agree, though.
