This is such a fantastic 80s comedy. The way the characters are written just feels so authentic. They all react to certain situations as you would imagine how anyone else would. Like you two said, the soundtrack in this movie is so perfect. Its hard to articulate exactly how and why, but this is one of those few movies that really draws me in and feel invested in the characters. God I love this movie.
