2022-09-15 01:11:39 +0000 UTCAs much as we want to talk down to the commander Mcalister - I believe in the show he was the Chief Officer of the Engine room. A dude used to having the "running parts" around him just simply work once installed or fixed. He is used to giving order to men that interact with the ship itself - he is clearly NOT a command officer or used to being in command of anything other than his little perfect corner of the ship. Sadly, he had to give his life to prove to his crew, starbuck, and the audience that push comes to shove he is a good man. Also I am surprised you went for the Home Alone nod vs the Sopranos ;)
