The scene where Starbuck drunkenly tries to land on the table reminds me of a couple of guy's in my unit during boot camp. They had a contest to see who could land on the table without falling off.

After his new show didn't work out, he returned for Season Two. The producers asked him to sign a five-year contract. He didn't respond and the producers sensed he wasn't committed to the show. They couldn't write long-term story arcs because they didn't know if Campbell would be available. Thus, they decided to kill off Billy, according to Campbell. Though he appreciates quality TV shows, he is not a science-fiction fan. It was difficult for him to leave the show, but Campbell says it was the right choice. He's said he wouldn't mind coming back to Battlestar Galactica as a guest star, playing a Cylon.
