The woman Ash asked to clean his trailer and later turned into a Deadite ( Vivian ) was played by New Zealand actress Sian Davis. She was a customer at the video store where I worked when she was filming this. She was also in the 2013 movie right at the beginning, performing an exorcism I think. She said that she thought it helped her get the role in that she speaks Welsh ( which is the language she uses in the ritual ).

Mentioning things specific to that movie would have involved bringing them into the production of ASH VS. EVIL DEAD. So they have to be a little bit skittish about Ash's journey through time - at least at first.
