2022-08-29 05:02:04 +0000 UTCI thought they did a decent job at changing some details around to make it somewhat easier to follow for the uninitiated. There were still some details that weren't explained and I am not entirely sure how they could have done it without dropping a ton of exposition. For instance the movie didn't explain that those that Gantz recruits will have the scene of their death cleaned up. Body disappears, blood cleaned up, any photos taken or video recorded on devices gets edited. The only thing that remains are eye witnesses. This is so that if the players survive they can return to their normal lives until they are called again.

2022-08-28 10:41:18 +0000 UTCYa I wouldn't recommend that. I have the anime series and watched it. The pacing is very slow and the animation hasn't aged very well. Still the Budda statue mission is still alright for the most part. Still hate the season ended on a dang filler mission. The two live action movies wouldn't be bad to check out. The first film is a decent adaptation to the real start of the series even though they changed quite a bit with the robot mission, but the second movie really went off the rails and was pretty much doing its own thing.

2022-08-28 04:11:37 +0000 UTCI haven't read much Manga or watched many Anime shows, but I'm super into horror and like graphic novels and someone online recommended Gantz and I gotta say I went through like 600 issues in a few days. It was so thrilling and gory, I loved it. This is the only Gantz movie I've seen and haven't watched any animes but I thought it was excellent. Really cool/ random someone requested this. Thumbs up.

2022-08-28 00:33:03 +0000 UTCOh man, this reaction gave me everything I wanted out of it haha. As to answer your question about what happens to the monsters that get uploaded by the Y-gun (the laser rope gun) well brace yourself...we NEVER find out lol.

2022-08-27 20:55:45 +0000 UTCI did not expect to see Gantz on here. It's pretty much a cross-section of Japanese Anime and Manga. It got everything, from the jiggle physics, over the Japanese demons/Yokai, to teenage boys who look like they are in their late 20's. This one is based on one of the later arcs, which might be even more confusing to first-time watchers.
