oh and in case you were wondering, the Northman is based off the fables written by Saxo Grammaticus, which then in turn inspired (in part) Shakespeare's Hamlet.

2022-07-06 08:23:48 +0000 UTCThis film is set in 895 anno domini, the Vikings TV show is set between 793 and roughly 850, but has events and characters that come from at least 50 - 150 years later after 850 A.D, so the show is highly inaccurate in terms of events but also the wardrobe... wearing fucking biker leather, its hilariously bad. If you watch it simply as a tv show and not as actual history then fair enough, but otherwise, avoid!
