The Carrie sequel and 2013 Carrie remake are not on the same level with this, but I like both of them for different reasons. I would especially love to see director Kimberly Peirce's original cut of the 2013 Carrie remake, as it was vastly different in test screenings and then rearranged to be more like the 1976 one in post-production (my understanding is that the book is like eyewitness accounts of the prom murder, and that the original edit of the movie somehow played it more like this using some kind of flashback structure). I also saw the Angela Bettis TV movie remake, but I don't really remember it. If you were watching an Angela Bettis movie where she played a troubled young woman, I would recommend May before the Carrie TV movie.

2022-04-24 23:59:55 +0000 UTCThere were 2 remakes of the original. One was done for tv, the other for theatrical release. I've seen both and the sequel. I don't want to spoil the sequel for anyone who wants to see it, but there's more of a link than Sue and the girl having telekinesis.
